One of the most crucial characteristics to have, to be amongst the peak performers, is a high level of self-confidence.
In hadith Jibreel, Jibreel (AS) requests from the Prophet (SAW), “Tell me about ihsan.” He (SAW) replied, “It is that you worship Allah as if you see Him. And even though you do not see Him, you have full consciousness that He sees you.”
Practical application: the story of Dawud (AS) and Jaluth [David and Goliath].
Remember the story of David and Goliath? Do you think that little shepherd boy, Dawud (AS) before he became a prophet, second guessed himself or hesitated in front of that giant and his army? Or did he fully understand that Allah was his Guardian and Protector?
Take a moment to imagine what was going on through the mind of that boy. Imagine what he felt, what he saw and what he heard. Imagine you are standing in front of Allah, in the front lines, closer than anyone else. Imagine you are standing in the same line in the same line as the prophets and the righteous people of the past, about to enter into jannah, paradise. If you are sitting down, actually stand up and stand as if you are about to enter into jannah with the prophets.
Listen to your breath and feel the beat of your heart. Take a deep breath and relax.
That’s the high self-confidence that is required of us. That’s one part of excellence.

Masallah, I felt like I was blessed. To stand in the line of all the prophets may Allah bless upon them all is every Muslim hope, desire and to get the wow. i do not have words to describe the feel but to pray it really happens to me when i die.
